You’re Easy To Ignore

I spent over 10 hours in last 7 days talking to freelancers and fixing their positioning.

Most of them are good at what they do but if you look at their profile it's a different story.

I was benchmarking them against my GTL framework and most weren't able to meet the 1st layer. SIGNAL.

Here's the kind of headlines I came across which makes it too difficult for the client to understand what you do.

These headlines seem like nothing is wrong but when you sound like you do everything, clients assume you’re good at nothing specific.

And when clients are unsure, they don’t pay premium.

They either: negotiate, delay or ghost you

Now compare the above ones with these, you'll instantly notice the difference

The difference?

The first 3 profiles are generic.

You understand what they do. But you have no idea how they actually help. So you move on.

The next 3 are different. They follow a simple pattern:

I help [specific group] get [specific outcome] using [your strength]

I call it the 1-1-1 framework. 
1 niche. 1 outcome. 1 method.

Now let’s address what you’re probably thinking:

“If I niche down, I’ll lose deals.”
No. Right now, you’re losing better ones.

The worst thing isn’t losing your current client.

It’s a high-paying client landing on your profile…

and leaving without talking to you because you had no offer to make.

An offer you can't make is an offer they can't take.

Think about it. How many people see your profile and leave confused? Where do they go?

To someone who is half as good as you but 10x clearer.

You lost a deal you didn't even knew existed.

And btw this happens daily, you really think those foreign prospects viewing your profile just came for no reason

Why they pay premium?

It took me 3 years and 24 clients to realize that clients don’t pay more because you’re talented.

They pay more because they understand exactly what you do and why it matters to them.

If you fix just this one line:

  • your signal gets sharper

  • your outreach gets replies

  • your calls feel easier

  • your pricing stops getting questioned

I want you to rewrite your positioning using this ASAP:

“I help [specific group] get [specific outcome] using [your strength]”

That’s it. Don’t try to be perfect. Just stop being vague.
