I just got off a call with one of my GTL pilot member.
GTL is my own 6 layer global framework that global clients use to hire people like you and me.
(only my early YT subs and now you know what this actually is)

I wanna talk to you about your portfolio which is layer 3.
THE PROOF LAYER.
Your portfolio decides how serious you'll be taken on the call with the prospect.
A Simple Exercise
I want you to rate your portfolio out of 10. Two points for each 'Yes'.
1. Does your main header tells exactly the 1 thing you do?
2. Do you have clear proven before/after transformations?
3. Are you using past clients testimonials?
4. Is your portfolio page less than 300 words?
5. Do you have any case study live?
You have the score. If it's 10/10, reply me with your portfolio link, I will see if something else can be changed or not.
If it's below 10, you immediately need to make it 10 ASAP.
Going on calls with a 6/10 or 8/10 portfolio is reducing your chances.
The portfolio has one job which is to make sure when you're on the call you are not sitting and explaining the prospect what you do.
Biggest Mistake
I am seeing this way too much these days as I talk to more and more freelancers
Everyone is making the portfolio based on how they think it matters whereas the difference is how the clients see it.

My portfolio is 127 words. 1 pager. 9 videos. 9 recommendations. 7 tweets. 1 form.
It is against all the laws and thesis people tell.
This is my 4th version and it is the highest converting portfolio I have ever had in 8 years.
Earlier I had these 5-6 pager websites and the conversion was nowhere near this one pager.
You know why mine is working? I made it too good for the client to ignore it. There's 0 effort in viewing my portfolio.
You see a clear headline, you see the authority and experience, you then see the brands, then you see me breaking down my campaigns and giving info which is highly useful and insider info.
You then see my recommendations from multi-million corporations which are verifiable so trust is built right away,
then you see my personality through my tweets and you sneak peek in my brain and by this time it's obvious you wanna contact me so there's the form.
DONE.
Don't copy me
I don't want you to copy mine. I want you to keep the version you have right now but upgrade it with what all you did.
You are making money so your portfolio no doubt works. You need to sharpen it so it works even better.
Write the one thing you are good at, make the prospect feel dumb enough to pass on the opportunity to speak to you and gain your valuable insights.
Once you're on the call, do your thing and convert!
