right now it's 6pm. I am standing in traffic. peak rush hour. 

At the traffic stop, on my left I have a bus stand, full of people & a metro station with queue at least 500mts.

Behind me is a line of activa's and bikes from 100cc to 650cc and cars from 3L all the way to 5cr.

A bus comes and there's no space to set foot in it.
The metro above? it's jam packed.
The Gramin Sewa's are packed too

People from 16-70s almost everyone is in this crowd.

All this made me think... 
How much money is actually enough?

This Was Me

I was a part of this crowd too, I have stood in these metro lines and even DTC lines and travelled in local autos.

I used to think if I save 5L it'd change everything. When I hit that, nothing drastic happened.

I just moved the post to 20, then also nothing.

30-40-50... Nothing changed.

All this time I was chasing this money but the goal post never stopped moving.

That's when I spent 3 months figuring out how much money is actually enough for me.

The $40/month I used to earn while I was in class 12th, bhai I can't tell you how big that was.

I could literally eat chole bhature & lassi everyday in my school canteen and still have money saved to have Mother Dairy chocolate milk on my way back home.

My Way Out

I did this exercise to figure out how much is enough.

1. What all material possessions do I plan to own?
(this includes all cars, houses and other tangible things)
2. How much money I need in my bank at all times?
3. How much I plan to spend every month till I am 60?
4. How much I need in my investment portfolio?
5. How many acres of land I wanna own?
6. the most imp. - how much is enough after which I can just relax and spend time with the people I care about and make work not a big priority.

I don't plan to retire and never work but if you work like me for 12-14hrs everyday you do need to plan to bring this time down to 4-5hrs.

I arrived at my number and ever since that day it's clear to me what I need to do. 

A person without a clear vision in head will always be lurking over shiny objects. 

If you know that you need 30,00,00,000 to feel comfortable you'd do everything every living moment to make sure that you hit this mark.

Understand This

If you don't know your enough, every AI expert on your feed will you give a living crisis. It's all just noise dude. 

Whatever you are doing is gonna last for years. You're not gonna become obsolete.

Don't let anyone make you feel you're messed up. Everyone's messed up. some show. most hide.

So here's something that's gonna be worth thinking:

Do you actually have a number in your head for when money becomes enough or are you just moving the goalpost every time you get closer?
